1. Initial project review
Start with the reason for the project: damage, age, maintenance, energy upgrades or a design change. Photos and an initial conversation help narrow repair versus replacement.
2. Measure and define the scope
Document wall areas, storeys, access, gables, openings, existing cladding, trim, penetrations and soffit/fascia interfaces. The estimate should state what is included.
3. Choose material, profile and colour
Once the wall and scope are understood, compare products. Physical samples and 3D modelling can help, but the contract should identify the actual product line and colour.
4. Tear-off and wall assessment
If existing cladding is removed, concealed conditions become visible. Rotten sheathing, old water entry or unexpected layers should be documented before additional work proceeds.
5. Wall preparation and flashing
Complete approved substrate repairs and integrate the weather-resistive barrier, flashings and opening details required for the wall.
6. Install and review
Fastener type, spacing, clearances, panel movement and accessories follow the selected product system. Cleanup and a final walkthrough close the scope.
